DEYE Hybrid Inverter & LUMO L51100 Connection Guide

NB: Before switching on the inverter and battery, please ensure that all cables are secure and DIP switches on the battery are programmed correctly. Kindly note that the DIP switches on the inverter are only used when you parallel more than one DEYE inverter. And for all Deye inverters used in household low-voltage applications, including all models with power ranging from 3.6kW to 16kW, the communication protocols for same battery brands are the same.
Communication Cable Requirement:
Step 1: Connect the battery’s positive & negative terminals to the inverters terminal port. (Avoid reverse polarity connection as this will short-circuit the inverter and battery)
Step 2: Connect the communication cable to the PylonTech Battery “A/CAN” port (Same to All Models) and then into the DEYE inverters “CAN/RS485” port.

LUMO L51100 Battery
NB: LUMO L51100 features a DIP Switch-Free design, allowing the battery BMS to automatically detect and match the inverter protocol for seamless communication. This makes the installation simpler and more convenient. To  connect the LUMO L51100 Battery in parallel, simply connect the RS485A of the second battery to the RS485B of the previous battery, following the sequence. The first battery in the chain is automatically recognized as the MASTER. Then connect the CAN port of the first battery to the CAN port of the inverter.

Step 3: Power on the PylonTech Battery, then power on the inverter by switching the Power switch in the ON position.
Step 4: Program the battery settings on the Deye Inverter to sync up with the LUMO Battery BMS.
Click the “Gear” icon to the setting page of the inverter.

Once you are on the setting page, the screen will display as above, then click Battery Setting.

Choose battery type “LITHIUM” and setup Battery Capacity: 100AH
Max Charge: 100A
Max Discharge: 100A
Then press “√” to save the setting.

Repeat the previous steps to enter the Battery Setting page again, then, tap the  on the screen to the Batt Set 3. Lithium Mode choose the protocol ’00’ , then press “√” to save the setting.

Once all the settings above are configured, return back to the homepage and tap the Battery Icon on the screen. You should see ‘Li-BMS’ instead of ‘Energy’ in the bottom corner. Tap it to access the BMS info page

If you can see these info in BMS info page,  it means the battery is communicating with your battery now

Advanced Settings For Your System:

Only when you set up the battery as ‘V’ or ‘%’ mode, then you can change the charging parameters here

Enter the System Work Mode page, and switch to the Work Mode 2. Tick Grid  Charge in the front (and GEN if applicable) to set the charging time to recharge the battery SOC as per Batt % you set . If unticked, the battery will discharge to the set Batt % during the period. Then press “√” to save the settings.

Settings Explanation:
1&3:
-Srat=30%:Auto-starts the GEN when the soc drops to 30%
-A=40A: Charging current 40A from the GEN
-GEN Charge: Enable GEN charge, only after Ticked here we can setup Time Of Use in Work Mode
-GEN Signal: Displaying when GEN kicks in
-GEN Max Run Time: Defines the maximum daily runtime of the GEN
-GEN Down Time: Delay Shutdown Time after GEN reaches its max runtime

2:
-Start=30%: Not applicable, only for customization
-A=40A: Define the charging current from the grid
Grid Chrage: Enable Grid charge, only after Ticked here we can setup Time Of Use in Work Mode
Grid Signal: Disable

                                                                                                                     Congrats!

YOUR DEYE INVERTER IS NOW WORKING WITH YOUR PYLONTECK BATTERY AND SET UP PROPERLY!
