OMS51314 High-Voltage Battery Module

A safer, scalable 16.1 kWh building block for C&I energy storage
The LUMO OMS51314 is a 51.2 V, 314 Ah lithium iron phosphate (LiFePO4) battery module designed for high-voltage commercial and industrial energy storage systems. Each module delivers 16.1 kWh of nominal energy and can be combined into systems of up to 16 modules in series, providing a flexible platform for solar energy storage, peak shaving, load shifting, backup power and microgrid applications.
The OMS51314 is built around three priorities: cell consistency, localized fire protection and long service life. High-quality Ganfeng finished modules help reduce variation at pack level, while an aerosol fire-suppression device integrated inside every battery pack adds a dedicated response layer close to the cells. The result is a modular battery platform engineered for projects where safety, serviceability and predictable long-term performance matter.

Why OMS51314
High-quality cells are the foundation
LUMO batteries are powered by premium lithium cells from Ganfeng Lithium, one of China’s Top 10 lithium enterprises and a leading Tier 1 global lithium cell manufacturer. As one of the world’s largest integrated lithium companies, Ganfeng operates across the entire value chain—from lithium resource development and refining to battery cell manufacturing and recycling. Its long-term partnerships with leading global EV manufacturers reflect its proven quality, production consistency, and technological leadership.
By using high-quality Ganfeng lithium cells in every module, LUMO delivers outstanding safety, consistency, and long-term reliability. The modules are built on a precision-matched 1P8S architecture, ensuring excellent cell balancing, reduced BMS intervention, higher usable capacity, and stable performance throughout the battery’s service life.
Low cell-voltage spread, proven in the field
Low voltage difference between cells is an important indicator of pack consistency. When cell voltages remain closely aligned, the system is less likely to reach charge or discharge limits early because of one drifting cell.
In LUMO field observations, long-running battery systems have maintained a very low cell-voltage spread during normal operation, typically within approximately 10 mV. Representative installed systems, including LUMO’s office battery, have continued to demonstrate this tight cell balance even after more than three years of service, reflecting strong cell consistency and stable long-term performance.

Pack-level protection with integrated aerosol fire suppression
Every OMS51314 battery pack includes its own aerosol fire-suppression device. LUMO calls this pack-level protection: a dedicated fire-response layer is placed inside each battery module, close to the cells where a thermal event could begin.
This localized architecture offers three practical advantages:
- Response close to the source: fire suppression is positioned inside the affected pack instead of relying only on cabinet-level or room-level systems.
- Protection repeated with every module: each added battery module brings its own dedicated aerosol protection layer as system capacity increases.
- Stronger system safety architecture: pack-level aerosol protection complements the electrical protections and external fire-safety measures required for a complete energy storage installation.
Pack-level aerosol protection is an additional safety layer. Final system design must still follow applicable local codes and project-specific fire detection, ventilation, isolation and suppression requirements.
Flexible high-voltage system architecture
The 51.2 V module is designed as a repeatable building block for high-voltage storage systems. Up to 16 modules can be connected in series, allowing nominal system configurations from 51.2 V / 16.1 kWh to 819.2 V / 257.2 kWh per series string.
The matching DC-1000 high-voltage control cabinet supports up to 1000 V and 160 A. This architecture enables the battery platform to serve a wide range of C&I PCS, hybrid inverter and microgrid designs. Parallel string configurations must be engineered and approved for the selected PCS, protection system and project requirements.
Practical power for C&I applications
The OMS51314 supports 100 A recommended charge and discharge operation, with a specified maximum working current of 160 A. At module level, this corresponds to approximately 5.12 kW recommended and 8.19 kW maximum DC power at nominal voltage. System power scales with the number of series-connected modules while string current remains unchanged.
This performance profile is suited to solar self-consumption, time-of-use optimization, peak shaving and standby power applications that require sustained, dependable energy delivery.
Long-life LiFePO4 platform
LiFePO4 chemistry combines thermal stability, long cycle life and dependable performance for stationary energy storage. The OMS51314 is specified for more than 6000 cycles at 0.5C charge, 0.5C discharge and 80% depth of discharge, with a design life of more than 15 years under appropriate operating conditions.
Modular installation and service
Each module uses a rack-format enclosure measuring 483 x 245 x 792 mm. The modular architecture allows systems to be configured in single-column or double-column rack arrangements according to capacity and site layout. Module-level construction simplifies staged system expansion, replacement and maintenance.
